A repetitive folding pattern can be used to create a 3D shape in a reasonably short amount of time.
First we will explore the possibilities of creating our own shapes through folding a simple pattern.
This form will be enlarged and adapted to create a light shade for a hanging light, or a decorative cover for a vase or candleholder.
There will be white paper available during the class (=labfee when used)
A suitable fitting for suspending your light shade will be available for purchase on the day.
The participants can bring their own small vase or candleholder. One simple model of vase will also be available for purchase on the day.
pls bring the following materials:
Paper knife (preferably with a long blade)
Paper glue (pritt/velpon…)
Some invisible sticky tape.
a small vase or (glass) candle holder.
Your own choice of paper. Choose a medium/lightweight paper that does not tear easily.
