This new (felting) workshop is a marriage between hard and soft materials: Felt and Ceramic elements will be combined in bracelets or decorative objects.
For this special workshop GIL joined forces with a well known Belgian ceramic artist and a dear and close friend, Elisabeth Vandeweghe. Years ago they both went to the same art college, after which their careers took off in different directions.
A short introduction of Liesbeth .... "Elisabeth Vandeweghe (1946): Studied 'Plastische Kunsten'. Got her degree specialising in ceramics , working in the studio and family owned company "Perignem". Works on commissions. Realised sculptures and wallpanels for private and public buildings and gardens. Her specialisation is the Majolica technique. Recent werk - "Mediapoorten". Characteristic for her work are the simple forms and subtle colour shades Her studio is based in the Stationsstraat 26, 8730 Beernem/Belgium. Tel. +3250788438."
Because both artists use the same colour palette their work matches beautifully.
During this workshop ceramic elements can be combined with felted bracelets or exclusive felt walldecorations, at your own choice. The ornaments are made in a way that they can be integrated in good harmony into the felt pieces you are going to create yourselves that day.
Felting experience required. No beginners.
