Wednesday - 9 September 2009  free entrance from 10am till 4pm

During this OPEN HOUSE day Gil will be demonstrating various materials and techniques.

A.o. she will show you the so called "melt off" technique on (synthetic) gold/silver lame fabrics combined with simple shibori methods, followed by adding colour thru transfer (via paper) or overdyeing with poly idye, a special dye for synthetics.

Besides this hi tech performance you are also allowed to expose the well known thermofax screen films as usual.  You can bring your own photocopies or use the ones Gil is bringing for you. It will also be possible to make your own drawing(s) at the spot with special carbon pencils and have these exposed at once. So instead of drawing and copying first, you can now draw and run it thru the thermofax directly.

As usual special offers and discounts will be presented and you can sit and plunge yourselves into the world of textile and surface design which we organise for you this Autumn.

Visitors of my OPEN HOUSE also have free access to the Textile Museum on the same day (free entrance tickets will be handed when visiting my studio)
