Shibori is a fascinating process and offers creative opportunities for cutting, piecing and collaging dyed fabric to create larger graphic images.

We will work on natural fabrics (cotton and silk) using fiber reactive dyes in both direct application and immersion techniques.

Re-wrapping or clamping using thiox dye remover will offer layered patterns suggesting depth.

Design discussion and piecing will be an integral part of this class.

Bring some of your own fabrics for critique, discussion and over dyeing.
