Creative Ways with Thermofax

A much requested day working with Thermofax

During this workshop every student will learn to make their own thermofax screens.

Not only text but also designs will be used for this.
Attention will be paid to creating personal designs.

These screens will be used in a creative way using a wide variety of mediums: thickened transfer paint, puff paste, rusting powder, transfer foils, embossing powders, discharge paste and textile paint.

Prints will be repeated and mediums combined to explore layering.

Synthetic fabrics and non wovens, cotton, silk and paper will be used for printing.

The knowledge gained in this workshop can be applied to future quilting & embroidery, fashion, book and paper projects.
